ok first off I didn't take any pics as I have been too shook up to do so........
This morning I get up and I think oh its gonna be a great day and the morning did turn out to be good.
I was doing laundry and I took the clothes from the washer and put them in the dryer. Well my dummy butt went to take the clothes from the washer and they were really wet like dripping wet but I said oh well and I stuck them in dryer anyway. Well they went through the first time ok and I went in to turn them back on. I turned the dryer on knowing those clothes were not dry yet. I done so walked out and went to the bedroom to get a pair of socks to leave. And just as I grabbed the socks I heard an explosion of some sort and after a what the **** was that. (I have so been trying to watch saying any naughty words) I walked out of the bedroom and the backdoor was open as was the dryer door and this smell was awful. I continue looking and I see FLAMES under the dryer. Ok into what the heck do I do mode now.....I grabbed the fire extinguisher and I pull the pin and ready aim fire and shoot the stuff on the flames. Well.....then flames start coming up the back of the dryer ....ready set aim and fire again and I put the flames out. I looked out the backdoor as it was standing open and here comes one of my neighbors by this point I am choking from the smell He starts to pull the dryer out here comes another neighbor and they get the dryer out and pull the clothes from behind the dryer that I had knocked back there in the process of ready aim fire. Needless to say the dryer is shot......a few shirts burnt......my aching ribs (I cracked a rib according to the er dr because I was hurting so bad I went to er)everything is ok. No structural damage other then the floor kinda caved as we were trying to get the dryer out but the floor was weak to begin with. We gotta get out of this place and move somewhere every since last march it has just been falling apart.
I count my blessings and I thank the lord above for the fact I had not left home. Because had I left and this happened. More then likely I would have come home to NOTHING. My home would have been gone.
Word to the wise.....NEVER leave home with the dryer on. Ya just never know when something will happen.
Good Night and I hope tomorrow is an awesome day for me and everyone else.
