what a day.......

well let me say this one thing first off.......I almost decided today was gonna be a smoke day but I made it through without falling off the train.
I wake up this morning to Terry yelling because he cannot find my van keys (we only have one key )He didn't know it but last night when we came home from moms and the van was left there because the key wouldn't turn I hid the keys. (my hubby gets a lil hot headed when something wont work I was afraid he would "Bust" the ignition switch.) so I get up yelling back that I am no Idiot to leave the keys out.
my mom calls dads mad that I locked the doors and dad wants to get in and spray wd-40 in the key hole. AGAIN......I'm no idiot I knew to lock the doors. I know that my dad can sometimes be a lil goofy and do stupid stuff.
we go over Im a lil mad he wants to spray that in there knowing my key has a chip in it and DUH it could do some major damage. so we pull up there he is standing out by the road wd-40 in hand......grrrrrrr
key still wont work. I say well let me get back online and see what it said to do last night. I come back out no luck moms computer is still messed up. I walk to the van.....say.....you will start .....waaaahhhhhhla it starts and I peel out of there.
So by this time we only have a little over an hour before we have to be at funeral home. we get home and get ready to go.
Was a lovely service. Fit for a little princess. Everyone done very well during the service it was the goodbye that was especially Hard. She has a lovely spot in the cemetry. i cried from the goodbye all the way to cemetry and to home again. Was just really hard saying goodbye to someone so precious and innocent.
so after the service we had to go to help a friend of my moms. Her daughter in law has a furniture store and she had noone to help load the delivery truck. So terry and my oldest son tyler said they could do that for her. First let me tell you that she had to have a court order to get in there to get the things out. The owner of the building changed locks on her. Its a mess but anywho.......we are in doing inventory.......WE find several things are missing so terry tyler and ruth get in the elevator to go up to the 3rd floor to see if the idiot owner put stuff back up there. well nothing is up there so they get back in the elevator to come back to the 1st floor the door slams on terrys hand and wont open back up. SO he says go ahead and go down and maybe one we get down it will open........no the elevator would not stop.........then we hear water......I am flipping out the owner then says oh my go* they are going in the pit. I am like what pit? COme to find out this elevator has a 10 foot pit under the basement. Finally the elevator stops and they are knee deep in water we dont know if the elevator is going to go farther down or not. I call 911.
I end up having a full blown panic attack on the phone with 911. mysister was there to she gets in my purse to find my rescue inhaler because I am having such trouble breathing. it was a mess.
Terrys hand is still stuck......Tyler is 14 in knee deep water and ruth has health problems and is about to pass out in the water. Tyler has ruth get on his shoulders so she is not in the water. The police arrive and fire department. And they get the doors to open and get them out . This elevator is one of the old ones that open top and bottom not side to side. They all take shoes and socks off Tylers feet is red reallllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllly red. Ruth is just cold and terrys hand is swelling. The owner of the building then smarts off about how they had no business going up stairs .
well after we left there we went to the hospital Terry doesn't have anything broken thank goodness. Tyler has complained all night of his legs and feet being cold. I have kept a close eye on them and they look ok.
I just cannot believe that the owner of that building had the balls to yell at them after that scary experience. well due to his negligence my son and husband could have died in his elevator had it not stopped and went into that 10 foot Pit full of water they would have drowned.
I am just worn out this has been a day from hell. I am going to go to bed I am sure I will be here again tomorrow.

One day at a time.......

Oh, Tab, what a long and crazy day. I just can't imagine the whole scary elevator thing. That sounds really messed up. I'm glad nobody was hurt too badly, and I hope you get to just rest a bit tomorrow with no crazy stuff going on. Also glad you didn't smoke!
