oh where oh where has Tabatha Been

well before I get into the where have I been.......I am still having trouble with quit #2!!! seems chantix isn't workin. So I have a call into the dr to see what other options are there for me. seems lots have luck with wellbutrin we will see what my dr says.
so onto the where I've been.......
Last Thursday morning I got a phone call from my sister telling me I needed to get to her house and help her with our Uncle that lives with her. He is 68 years old divorced for 9 years and fairly lonely now. She awoken to him grey and having great problems breathing. He is a very heavy smoker and has smoked for over 50 years. I was just thinking maybe he wasn't getting enough oxygen. So I hightail my booty over to my sisters which is maybe 1/2 mile from my house or less. I get there and my Uncle looks really really bad. He cant stand to get off the toilet or anything can't hold his head up. So my sister had already called 911 at this point. We hear sirens hes begging to lay down.
The ambulance arrives and we help them as much as possible they get him loaded on stretcher and take him to our Local "bandaid station" (hospital). we follow we wait and wait and wait in the ER for them to tell us something. Finally the Nurse comes out and let us know they are taking a CT scan of his stomach. Possibly he may have a aortic aneurysm that we will know in about 20 minutes. Less then 10 minutes they come back and let us know they are air lifting him to Methodist Hospital n Indianapolis and he will require Immediate surgery. The aneurysm is leaking. So we headed to Methodist hospital. We spent Thursday night there. His surgery went as well as to be expected. The dr told us 50% of people dont make it to the hospital before they pass. the other 50% only 25% make it past the first 48 hours. So we kept vigil. He developed a blood clot in one leg and they had to go back in and do surgery on friday.
I believe it was sunday maybe Monday they took the ventalator out and he began having trouble and had a heart attack along with. they put the tubes back in and he is still on all the tubes. 14 IV's Dialysis because his kidneys aren't working right. Its been fairly scary but there are small signs he is getting better. we just keep praying and visiting as often as possible. My mom and I were there last night and I call Morning and night to check if we aren't there.
There is so much more I could tell about his situation but I gave the small short version.
My nephew was allowed to come home from the army for a few days because we were told he may not live and I was very happy to see him.
Just been rough trying to be there for Uncle Charles and running life at home.

so more soon from the soap box of Tabatha ;-)

Just keep trying with the quit, Tabatha. You can do it again.

Your family is in my thoughts, and I hope your uncle will be OK.
